EverBee is the tool most new Etsy sellers hear about first, usually with the promise that you can see any shop’s sales and revenue for free. In 2026 that promise is out of date. We created a fresh free account, installed the extension, ran our keyword rubric, checked its profit-calculator math against Etsy’s real fees, and lined its numbers up against two rival tools on identical keywords. Here is what EverBee actually does now, what it still gives away, and the part it quietly started charging for.
In this review
The quick verdict
EverBee: the smoothest Etsy research tool, but its famous free revenue data now costs $29.99/mo
EverBee has the cleanest interface in the category and a profit calculator whose math we verified to the cent. The catch most older tutorials miss: the sales and revenue estimates it built its reputation on are now locked to the paid Growth plan, in both the web app and the extension. The free plan is still worth installing for keyword ideas, listing views and lifetime shop sales. Just not for the revenue numbers most people show up for.
Try EverBee Free →Free Hobby plan · 10 keyword searches · No card required
In a hurry? Use EverBee free for its profit calculator and quick listing views. If you want sales and revenue estimates without paying, Alura still shows those on its free plan. If the deepest free keyword data matters more, eRank won our six-tool comparison.
Is EverBee free in 2026? What the Hobby plan actually gives you
Yes, there is a genuinely free plan (called Hobby), and no card is required. But the free plan in 2026 is a different, thinner thing than the one older reviews describe. Here is the exact split we saw in our account:
| Feature | Free (Hobby) |
|---|---|
| Keyword research | Capped at 10 keywords total |
| Product Analytics: views, reviews, favorites, price, listing age | Included |
| Product Analytics: Sales, Revenue, Conversion Rate, Trends, Growth | Locked (Growth plan) |
| Smart filters (New & Hot, Rapid Growth, Trending) | Locked |
| Tag Analytics | Locked |
| Shop Analyzer: lifetime Total Sales | Included |
| Shop Analyzer: Total Revenue, Monthly Sales, Monthly Revenue | Locked |
| Profit Calculator (Standard and Advanced) | Fully free |
| Favorites | 5 keywords, 5 shops, 1 folder |
The single most important thing to understand: the sales and revenue estimates are gone from the free plan. The overlay EverBee was famous for, the one that let you eyeball any listing’s monthly revenue, is now a paid feature. Free users see how many views and favorites a listing has, but not how much it earns. We will come back to this in the extension section, because it is where most sellers actually expected to find those numbers.
Pricing: verified on everbee.io
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hobby | Free | Free | 10 keyword searches, basic listing metrics, full profit calculator |
| Growth | $29.99 | $19.99 ($239/yr) | Unlocks sales, revenue, conversion rate, smart filters, tag analytics. Labeled “Most Popular” |
| Business | $99 | $69 ($828/yr) | Higher limits, team and volume features |
Keyword research: what our test actually showed
We ran the first five keywords of our standard 20-keyword rubric through EverBee. Bulk entry (comma-separated) analyzed all five in one shot, which was genuinely fast. The free plan’s hard limit is 10 keywords total, and it is easy to burn through without noticing. Here is what the screen showed:
| Keyword | Volume | Competition | Keyword Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| personalized dog mom gift | 4,200 | 152,000 | 30 |
| funny nurse t-shirt | 315 | 41,000 | 10 |
| boho wall art printable | 516 | 183,000 | 0 |
| custom name necklace | 7,300 | 117,000 | 60 |
| digital planner goodnotes | 4,800 | 116,000 | 40 |
Directionally this is useful: EverBee ranked our keywords in the same order the other tools did (necklace strongest, boho wall art saturated). But two things bothered us, and neither shows up in a marketing-page screenshot.
How accurate is EverBee?
This is the question every seller asks, so here is our evidence-based answer rather than a marketing figure. EverBee does not measure Etsy searches directly. No tool can. It models them, and the modeling shows.
- The related-keyword list looks generated, not measured. For “personalized dog mom gift,” EverBee returned word-order permutations (“mom gift dog person,” “dog person gift mom”) all sitting at roughly 4,206 to 4,218 volume, yet with competition swinging from 15,858 to 151,938 for the exact same words reordered. Misspellings like “personized dog mom gifts” carried volume data too. Real search demand does not behave like that.
- The Keyword Score scale is inconsistent. Real keywords scored 0 to 60 on what looks like a 0-to-100 bar, while junk input like “gif te” returned a score of 124,960.
- No sanity filtering on products. The default Product Analytics view floated $50,000 joke-priced listings to the top.
Put EverBee next to other tools on the same keyword and the modeling problem becomes obvious. We asked three tools how many people search Etsy each month for “personalized dog mom gift,” on the same day:
| Tool | Monthly searches | Competition |
|---|---|---|
| EverBee | 4,200 | 152,000 |
| eRank | < 20 | 128,000 |
| Alura | 481,900 | 182,200 |
Three tools, three completely different search-volume answers, but competition counts that all land in the same band. That is the whole story of Etsy tool data: competition is a real, countable number, so tools agree on it. “Search volume” is each vendor’s private estimate, so they do not. Use EverBee’s numbers to compare keywords against each other inside EverBee. Never quote its absolute volume, and never compare it against another tool’s. We go deeper on this in EverBee vs eRank.
The Chrome extension: the deciding test

The extension is where EverBee earns its reputation, and where the paywall stings most. The good parts are genuinely good. It injects an “Exclude digital downloads” filter and a “Hide ads” toggle onto Etsy search, adds a per-listing stat bar and an “Analyze listing” button on product pages, and can embed the full EverBee app as an in-page panel. On a free account it showed us real numbers: one 80-month-old necklace listing had 2,857,066 views and 60,175 favorites.
But the three numbers most sellers install the extension for, Monthly Sales, Total Sales and Conversion Rate, are padlocked on the free plan. Views and favorites are interesting. Revenue is what people actually want, and that now requires Growth at $29.99/mo.
One UX gripe worth flagging: the extension demands its own separate sign-in even when you are already logged into the web app, and typing your password straight into the popup gave us an “invalid credentials” error. Logging in through the SSO page it opens worked. If your password contains an apostrophe or backslash, the popup form is the likely culprit.
The profit calculator: we checked the math
Here is the part of EverBee we trust most, and the reason is that we audited it. The Profit Calculator is fully free, in both Standard and Advanced modes, and its math is correct. We tested it against Etsy’s published fees and it matched to the cent:
- 6.5% transaction fee: $2.70 on a $41.49 order (correct)
- 3% + $0.25 payment processing: $1.50 (correct)
- $0.20 listing fee (correct)
Worked example from our session: a $36.99 sweatshirt with $4.50 shipping, $16.50 cost of goods and $8 fulfillment came out to $12.59 net profit at a 30.34% margin. That is a legitimately useful free tool, and for a lot of new sellers it is reason enough to keep EverBee installed even if they never pay.
What changed in 2026
EverBee has grown past being an Etsy-only tool. It now markets product research and keyword data for Shopify and Amazon sellers as well, has added email marketing and an AI store-builder feature, and cites a much larger listing database (180M+ listings). If you sell on more than one platform, that broader reach is a point in its favor. If you only sell on Etsy, none of it changes the core review above.
The catch nobody warns you about: annual auto-renew
We did not test cancellation first-hand, so we are labeling this clearly: the single most common complaint we found from EverBee users is that the annual plan auto-renews without a clear warning, and getting a refund after the fact is difficult. This is a reported pattern, not something we reproduced, but it is consistent and loud enough that we would not sign up for a year on your first month. Start monthly, confirm the tool earns its keep for how you actually work, and only move to annual once you are sure. Set a calendar reminder a few days before any renewal date.

EverBee vs the alternatives
EverBee vs eRank: the two names every new seller hears first. eRank gives the deepest free per-keyword data and was honest when a keyword had almost no searches; EverBee has the smoother interface and the better in-Etsy browsing workflow. Full five-round breakdown in EverBee vs eRank.
EverBee vs Alura: this is the one that matters in 2026. Alura’s free plan still shows the sales and revenue estimates EverBee now charges for. If free revenue data is the whole reason you wanted EverBee, Alura is the better free pick right now. EverBee wins on interface polish and multi-platform reach.
Where EverBee sits overall: it scored 8.3 in our six-tool comparison, strong but not our top free pick, precisely because the headline feature moved behind a paywall.
FAQ
Is EverBee free?
Yes, the free Hobby plan needs no card and includes 10 keyword searches, basic listing metrics (views, favorites, listing age), lifetime shop sales, and the full profit calculator. What it no longer includes for free is the sales, revenue and conversion-rate data EverBee was best known for. Those now require the Growth plan.
How much does EverBee cost?
The Growth plan is $29.99/mo, or $19.99/mo billed annually ($239/year). Business is $99/mo, or $69/mo annually. The free Hobby plan is $0.
How accurate is EverBee’s data?
Its competition counts track other tools closely because those are countable. Its search volumes are modeled estimates and should be treated as relative signals only: on our tests the related-keyword lists showed permutation clones with near-identical volumes, and the same keyword returned wildly different volumes across EverBee, eRank and Alura. Compare keywords within EverBee, do not quote its absolute numbers.
Is EverBee worth it?
The free plan is worth installing for the profit calculator and quick listing views. The paid Growth plan is worth it if you actively research products and will use the sales and revenue estimates weekly. If you only want those estimates occasionally and for free, Alura currently does that job better.
Can I cancel EverBee easily?
You can cancel, but the most common user complaint we found is that the annual plan auto-renews with little warning and refunds are hard to get afterward. Start on monthly billing and set a renewal reminder before committing to a year.
Is EverBee only for Etsy?
No longer. As of 2026 it also markets product and keyword research for Shopify and Amazon sellers, plus email marketing and a store-builder feature. Its roots and its strongest data are still on Etsy.
