EverBee vs eRank (2026): We Ran Both on the Same Keywords

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. Tools can’t pay for placement or scores. How we make money · How we test

Hands-on tested: July 16, 2026 · Published: July 21, 2026 · Fresh free accounts on both tools, same seed keywords, same day. Numbers below are transcribed from the live products.

EverBee and eRank are the two names every Etsy seller hears first, and most comparisons of them read like two product pages stapled together. We did the thing those articles skip: created fresh accounts on both, ran the same keywords through each on the same day, and wrote down what each screen actually showed. The short version: the right answer changed in 2026, because EverBee moved its famous free feature behind a paywall — and most reviews haven’t noticed yet.

The quick verdict

Lab Verdict
eRank wins

eRank for most sellers — EverBee only if you’ll pay from day one

On free plans it isn’t close anymore: eRank gives you real analysis (top-100 listing breakdowns, honest volume numbers) while EverBee’s free plan now hides every revenue metric behind a padlock. Paying changes the answer — EverBee’s $29.99/mo Growth plan buys the smoothest research workflow on Etsy. But $5.99 eRank Basic covers more ground than most sellers will ever need.

Round 1: What you actually get free

This round decides the comparison for most readers, so let’s be precise about what our fresh accounts showed on July 16, 2026.

eRank free: 5 keyword searches per day (visible counter), and each search is generous — average searches, clicks, CTR, competition count, keyword difficulty, Google search volume, a seasonal trend chart, a searchers-by-country panel, and a full analysis of the top 100 listings ranking for the term: average price, median price, total views, most-used tags as a word cloud, category breakdown, even processing times. The paywall sits on discovery: the related-keyword ideas table teases names and blurs the numbers.

EverBee Chrome extension on Etsy search results showing padlocked Monthly Sales and Conversion Rate columns
EverBee’s extension on our test account, July 16, 2026: Views and Listing Age show, Monthly Sales and Conversion Rate are padlocked — on every listing, free plan.

EverBee free: here’s the part most reviews get wrong in 2026. The famous pitch — install the extension, see revenue estimates on every Etsy listing — is dead on the free plan. Our account showed Views, Listing Age and Favorites; Monthly Sales, Total Sales, Revenue and Conversion Rate were padlocked everywhere, extension included, until you pay $29.99/mo. Keyword research is capped at 10 searches. What’s genuinely still free: a shop’s lifetime sales count, and an excellent profit calculator whose fee math we verified against Etsy’s published rates to the cent.

Round to eRank, decisively.

Round 2: Keyword research

eRank keyword statistics for custom name necklace showing 2,523 average searches, 2,762 clicks, 109 percent CTR, competition 87,377, and searchers by country led by the United States
eRank’s exact-match stats for “custom name necklace”: 2,523 searches, 2,762 clicks, competition 87,377 — with a seasonal trend chart and a searchers-by-country panel (US 41.3%, Pakistan 25.5% — that second number is sellers doing research).

We ran the same five seed keywords through both tools. eRank’s exact-match stats were consistently believable: “custom name necklace” showed 2,523 monthly searches, 2,762 clicks and 87,377 competing listings — and when a keyword was weak, eRank said so plainly (“<20 searches” for two of our five). Its searchers-by-country panel even revealed that 38.5% of the people searching “personalized dog mom gift” are in Vietnam — print-on-demand sellers doing research, not buyers shopping. That’s the kind of signal that changes a product decision.

EverBee’s keyword tool accepts comma-separated bulk lists (genuinely convenient — five keywords, one query, five summary cards) and shows volume, competition and a proprietary score per keyword. But its related-keywords table padded our results with word-order permutations — “mom gift dog person,” “dog person gift mom,” “dog mom person gifts” — all claiming nearly identical volume with wildly different competition. That’s generated filler, not research. And the free cap is 10 searches total, versus eRank’s 5 every day.

Round 3: Product research

Flip side. eRank has no revenue estimates at any price — you research keywords and study listings, but nobody shows you a competitor’s estimated monthly income. EverBee’s Product Analytics (paid) is the best-organized product research surface we’ve tested: search any niche, sort by revenue, open any listing’s tag analytics, all without leaving Etsy. Its Shop Analyzer shows lifetime sales counts even on the free plan, and the extension adds small quality-of-life touches to Etsy search — an “exclude digital downloads” filter, an ad-hiding toggle.

Round to EverBee — with the caveat that this round costs $29.99/mo to actually play.

Round 4: Whose numbers can you trust?

The uncomfortable finding from our side-by-side: on the same day, for the same keyword, the two tools disagreed by a factor of 200. “Personalized dog mom gift”: eRank said under 20 monthly searches; EverBee said 4,200. “Funny nurse t-shirt”: eRank under 20, EverBee 315. Yet their competition counts nearly matched on every keyword (128K vs 152K; 185K vs 183K). Competition is countable; “search volume” is each vendor’s private model wearing a confident label.

Two things kept eRank ahead on trust. First, it was willing to report tiny numbers — a tool that admits “<20” is a tool that isn’t optimizing for making every keyword look like an opportunity. Second, where we could check EverBee’s math directly — its profit calculator against Etsy’s published fees — it was exactly right, but its related-keyword volumes failed the smell test (identical numbers on reshuffled word orders). Both tools agreed on relative keyword strength, which is the level where any of these numbers mean something.

Round to eRank.

Round 5: Pricing

TiereRankEverBee
Free5 searches/day, deep per-search analysisNo revenue data, 10 keyword searches
Entry paidBasic $5.99/mo — 100 lookups/day
MidPro $9.99/mo — 200 lookups/dayGrowth $29.99/mo ($19.99 annual)
TopExpert $29.99/mo ($22.50 annual)Business $99/mo ($69 annual)

eRank’s entire Expert tier costs what EverBee’s mid tier does. For a seller watching every dollar (which, pre-revenue, is everyone), eRank Basic at $5.99 is the least contestable purchase in the category. Prices verified in-app July 16, 2026.

Which one should you pick?

  • You’re starting out, budget $0: eRank. Five deep searches a day is real research; EverBee free is a demo now. (Add Alura’s free plan if you want revenue estimates — see our full six-tool test.)
  • You’ll pay, and you live inside Etsy browsing niches: EverBee Growth on the annual price ($19.99/mo). The workflow is genuinely the best there is.
  • You’ll pay, and keywords drive your process: eRank Basic or Pro. More data per dollar than anything we tested.
  • You want both: eRank Basic ($5.99) + EverBee free covers keyword depth and shop-level competitive intel for six dollars a month.

FAQ

Is EverBee still free?

There’s still a free plan, but as of our July 2026 test it no longer includes any revenue metrics — Monthly Sales, Revenue and Conversion Rate are padlocked in both the web app and the Chrome extension until you pay for Growth ($29.99/mo, or $19.99/mo billed annually).

Is eRank’s free plan enough to run a shop on?

For research, mostly yes: 5 searches a day with top-100 listing analysis goes further than it sounds if you batch your research weekly. You’ll feel the ceiling when you want related-keyword discovery, which is where the $5.99 Basic plan earns its price.

Whose search volume numbers are correct?

Probably neither, in absolute terms — they disagreed by up to 200x in our same-day test while agreeing on which keywords were relatively stronger. Use either tool to rank options, not to forecast demand. Etsy doesn’t publish real search volumes; every tool is modeling.

Can I use both free plans together?

Yes, and it’s a sensible stack: eRank free for keyword depth, EverBee free for shop lifetime-sales lookups and its profit calculator. That combination costs nothing and covers most early-stage research.
